Yoga everywhere for everyone

CARLY BROWN

About

Carly

Carly began going to yoga classes as a teenager where she fell in love with how calm and clear headed she felt afterwards. She discovered Ashtanga Yoga in 2002 and studied with Cathy Haworth for 5 years establishing a self practice. In 2006 Carly moved to London and began to practice at AYL and with Debbie Blunden. Since 2011 Carly has settled at Yoga Reading with Sophie Cleere where she continues to develop and refine her Ashtanga practice. Carly also practices Yin Yoga and Qi Gong with Steve Munn in Henley-on–Thames.

In 2016 Carly completed a 300 hour Ashtanga and Yin Yoga teacher training course in London with Norman Blair and Melanie Cooper, she also trained with April Nunes-Tucker to teach Big Dog Little Dog Yoga (parent and child yoga for 4-8 year olds).

Carly is passionate about yoga and believes that practising regularly can lead to subtle, positive changes in our everyday lives. She pinpoints the potential for transformation that yoga offers as her inspiration for becoming a teacher. Carly’s teaching style is both gentle and caring, while encouraging independence so a self practice can naturally develop.

Carly teaches Ashtanga, Yin and Big Dog Little Dog Yoga classes in and around Oxfordshire and Berkshire.

She loves cooking, swimming and practicing cartwheels with her young daughter.
