A next step from February’s ‘Perimenopause – An Inside Job’ this workshop explores the three psychological phases of menopause and explodes the myth that menopause marks the end. Despite its challenges, the menopause process is guiding you to release what no longer serves you, teaching you to re-fill your tanks and receive, as a whole new cycle life starts with Second Spring.

The depth of menopause experience comes as a great surprise. We only expect menopause to be ‘just’ about flushes, but the psychological, soulful and spiritual shifts are all pushing for attention too, all at the same time. As well as physical symptoms, we can feel adrift from ourselves, lost, and beset with seemingly exterior challenges like bereavements, relationships ending, house moves etc etc. all clustering around the menopause years. Understanding the phases will give you a sense of trust and safety as you navigate this multi-levelled rite of passage.

At this workshop you will discover:

  • An embodied sense of trust that you can do this!
  • The three distinct phases of menopause
  • How perimenopause can soften into acceptance
  • The gifts of each phase
  • Your unique self-care for each phase
  • An embodied preview of Second Spring
  • A deep excitement about your creative potential in second part of your life
  • Your next steps to care for yourself

This is not a ‘how to fix yourself’ workshop, we already know you are bloody awesome. It is likely, though, that by understanding the phases, whatever menopause challenges you are experiencing will soften as you deepen your curiosity and relationship with them. Kate brings down-to-earth humour to the group and a refreshing perspective that you are absolutely the authority on your process and only need a safe held, warm environment for your wisdom to emerge.

Who is this for?
This workshop is designed for people with some menstrual cycle awareness who are thinking about, or experiencing perimenopause and are curious about navigating their passage with a conscious, healing perspective. It is an inclusive workshop and we want all people whatever your race, ethnicity and background to feel welcome. Aware that menopause does is not only experienced by cis women, there’s a warm welcome for nonbinary, trans, gender fluid and other menopausers too. If you’re not sure if this workshop would be helpful for you, please feel free to have a chat with Kate.

What happens?
The shame around aging and menopause keeps us isolated and fearful. By coming together in a safe group to navigate the challenges and share our experiences, we come to find that despite our differences, there is an enormous strength to be found in connecting with others in the same process. Kate’s kept it to a small group so that there will be enough space to reflect on, and digest the experience. We’ll use the magic of the Life Seasons Circle, a special guided visualisation, to get an embodied sense of where you are, the self-care you need to apply and a sense of what is to come. The Life Seasons Circle was inspired by Red School and developed by Kate and Leora Leboff at Woman Kind. To create a cosy space, the workshop is a live only event and will not be recorded.
