In this workshop we will explore the foundations of primal vinyasa, which includes functional mobility and strength, journeying through your joint ranges and natural movement skills like squatting, rocking and rolling. This is a practice that helps build resilience in a playful, embodied way. We often use props to support the practice and to make the movements accessible – all are very welcome to join this empowering movement practice.
All of this is held within the familiar containers of a Yoga practice; flowing sequences, breathing techniques, meditation, sound, and relaxation.
Alice has been teaching since 2015 and loves the self-inquiry these practices create space for, sharing them as a foundation to remember, find steadiness and thrive. This journey has often taken her outside the realms of traditional Yoga; weaving in layers of natural movement development and somatic explorations. She is often out running, wild swimming, hiking or learning T’ai Chi and Qi gong.
With a background in English and Drama, Alice project manages various arts and holistic events around Reading with non-profit organisation, Outrider Anthems. She also writes short biographies for Story Terrace and enjoys weaving this creativity into her classes.
