Frequently Asked Questions

Where’s the Yoga Reading studio?

We are on the Caversham/Reading border off Richfield Avenue, opposite the turning to Rivermead Leisure Centre. It’s a small Industrial area and we are based above Butterbur & Sage who are an aromatherapy and oils wholesaler – so the studio always smells amazing!

Our address is:

Yoga Reading
Aroma House
3-5 Cremyll Road
Reading
RG1 8NZ

Is there parking?
Yes! There’s free parking outside the studio on the forecourt and road and if those spaces are busy we have 10 spots around the back of the building.
Do you have changing rooms?
Yes we have two changing rooms and an area to leave your coats and belongings just outside of the studio.
Which classes are suitable for beginners?

Beginner’s are welcome at all of our weekly classes – we have a chart to help you choose which classes are right for you on our Timetable page and we have video snippets to show our class styles on our ‘About Us’ page of the website.

We also run 6 week Beginner’s Courses every couple of months so you can start with these courses if you prefer.

I’m not very flexible, where should I start?

That’s absolutely fine. You don’t need to be flexible to start our classes. We will work with you exactly where you are.

Do I need to bring my own mat?

We have mats and props that you are welcome to use for free. If you have a favourite mat, or a mat towel, that you like to use you can bring it but you don’t have to.

What do I need to bring?
Just yourself. If you are coming to a dynamic class you may want to bring a towel and water.
What do I need to wear?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you can move in. Layers are also good so you can adjust your temperature.
Should I eat before class?

We recommend leaving at least an hour between your last meal, especially if you are doing dynamic classes. If you are managing a health condition or blood sugar levels it can be helpful to have a light snack before you come (like a banana or nuts etc)

How long are your classes?

Our classes range from 30 to 75 minutes. You can see the length of each class next to their name on the timetable.

What types of classes do you offer?

We offer classes that range from slow and restful to dynamic and sweaty. We have a full description of our classes on our ‘About Us’ page of our website.

I have an injury or a health concern, can I still come?

We are able to help with injury rehabilitation and can also help with a number of health concerns. Contact us for a discussion to ensure you feel confident prior to coming to class. Our email is [email protected]

Can I just turn up or do I need to book?

Please book online as we have class number limits and we are also unable to take payment at the studio.

Can I pay by cash?

No, we don’t accept cash. Please pay via the online booking system or if this is a problem for you call Katia on 07952 714 385 and she will sort out taking payment.

How can I buy a class for a friend?

Just set up an account for your friend on PunchPass and buy a pass this way – just remember if you add their email on to the account they will get notification of the purchase so, if it’s a surprise, you may want to put your email in for the short term.

An alternative way is to contact us for gift vouchers at [email protected]
